Cody recently finished playing the role of Henrik Egerman in A Little Night Music with the MFA program at SDSU. A week later he performed in their successful Portfolio, performing a variety of pieces, portraying roles such as Tony in West Side Story, Tulsa in Gypsy, Raul in The Phantom of the Opera, Freddy in My Fair Lady, Matt in The Fantasticks, Rooster in Annie and Mike in A Chorus Line, just to name a few. The following week Cody officially completed the first half of his MFA graduate school program.

Although this summer is free for the graduate students to work professionally in the performing arts, there’s no time for a break for Cody. The day after their last final, Cody flew out to New York to begin rehearsals at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse for the role of Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain. Cody is thrilled to be playing one of his all-time dream roles and at such a great venue! For more details on their performance schedule or the theater visit:

Cody is currently an MFA candidate in SDSU’s Master of Fine Arts - Musical Theatre program. He was accepted and began his first semester in the fall of 2012 and will be graduating in the spring of 2014. Cody enjoys being back in San Diego and is very busy with the course load and their two productions each semester. On top of all this he is also teaching MFA and undergraduate classes in acting, musical theater, dance and musical theater history all at SDSU. Somehow Cody has still found time to recently choreograph Gilbert and Sullivan’s Gondoliers at SDSU and on his winter break play a lead role in an upcoming film for the LDS church.

Cody found just the right fit with SDSU’s MFA program where all six students receive a well balanced curriculum of academic/research/teaching based education, combined with performance based training as well as having a creative emphasis. Cody’s creative emphasis/focus during his graduate studies is directing and choreography.

Before beginning this program at SDSU, Cody was the full time Producing Associate Artistic Director/General Manger at the Jackson Hole Playhouse in Jackson, Wyoming. Cody is also the Owner/Artistic Director of Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy.
